Field Trip

We took a field trip earlier this week…to the Nashville Zoo.  I’m ashamed to say that it was our first trip there in about 2 years.  It was also Allie’s first time to go.  She loved it!  She would point her finger at the animals and say, “Oh, oh!”  It was so fun to see her reaction and excitement when she found the animals!

Arriving with our friends and the rain!  Thankfully it didn’t last too long!

In front of the flamingos…which you actually can’t see in the picture!

We thought these goats in the petting zoo were too funny standing on the rail!

Of course you can’t go to the zoo and not ride the carousel.

She loved it!  All smiles – except, of course, for the camera.

Thanks for stopping by!

July 4th

We spent the July 4th weekend with my parents and enjoyed a relaxing few days.  While we were there, we went to see the Jackson Generals minor league baseball team play the Chattanooga Lookouts.  It seemed fitting to see the All-American sport played during America’s Independence Day celebration.  It was a HOT, HOT, HOT night - but so much fun!

We were happy to see the Generals win the game, and we stayed for the fireworks show afterward.  Allie wasn’t too crazy about that part of the evening.  She spent most of that time with her face buried in my shoulder.  When she got brave enough to catch a glimpse of the show, she would watch for about 5 seconds, start screaming and bury her head again.  Oh well – better luck next year!

Hope you had a great July 4th, too!

Take care,

Angela
