Boys of Summer – Part 2

Today I’ll share Hayden’s pictures from this baseball season.  He also had a great season!  He is such a great little athlete, always ready to hustle!

Baseball ready!  He usually played second base, shortstop or right-center.  He made some awesome catches and plays out in the field.

His team came in 1st place in the regular season and won the end-of-season tournament!  Great job!

Boys of Summer – Part 1

Both boys played spring baseball again this year.  I think it is my favorite sport to watch them play.  They both played really well and had fantastic coaches.  It was a great season for everyone!  I want to share Kyle’s pictures today….

He really found his speed this year!  Such an improvement from last season!

Sliding into home plate! I think their unofficial rule was that you can’t go home if you’re not dirty!

He loved playing catcher.  I think he really just liked wearing the cool gear!

IMG_0800

He even made the All-Star Team!

We’re so proud of our little slugger!  Last year he cried before just about every practice and game because he didn’t want to play….what a difference a year makes!

Have a great day!

Field Trip

We took a field trip earlier this week…to the Nashville Zoo.  I’m ashamed to say that it was our first trip there in about 2 years.  It was also Allie’s first time to go.  She loved it!  She would point her finger at the animals and say, “Oh, oh!”  It was so fun to see her reaction and excitement when she found the animals!

Arriving with our friends and the rain!  Thankfully it didn’t last too long!

We thought these goats in the petting zoo were too funny standing on the rail!

Of course you can’t go to the zoo and not ride the carousel.

She loved it!  All smiles – except, of course, for the camera.

Thanks for stopping by!

July 4th

We spent the July 4th weekend with my parents and enjoyed a relaxing few days.  While we were there, we went to see the Jackson Generals minor league baseball team play the Chattanooga Lookouts.  It seemed fitting to see the All-American sport played during America’s Independence Day celebration.  It was a HOT, HOT, HOT night - but so much fun!

We were happy to see the Generals win the game, and we stayed for the fireworks show afterward.  Allie wasn’t too crazy about that part of the evening.  She spent most of that time with her face buried in my shoulder.  When she got brave enough to catch a glimpse of the show, she would watch for about 5 seconds, start screaming and bury her head again.  Oh well – better luck next year!

Hope you had a great July 4th, too!

Take care,

Angela

Pandamania!

Last week was VBS at our church.  The theme this year was Pandamania.  The boys enjoyed spending time with their friends while doing crafts, learning about the daily Bible lessons, singing songs, playing games, dancing and having yummy snacks.  I taught the Bible lesson each day, while little Allie had fun in the nursery.  I’m so happy that we can all be involved in this great activity in our church.  I know in just a few short years the boys will think they are too old to go to VBS…gotta make these memories now while we can!

This little girl was worn out!

We all had a great week!  It was tons of fun and so rewarding, but I sure was exhausted by the end of each day.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!

I know it’s been over a month since my last post!  Between all the end-of-school year activities, our trip and VBS, I don’t feel like I have sat down for a minute!

Of course the first thing I wanted to share are pictures from Allie’s 1st Birthday party!  It’s hard to believe our little cupcake is already one!  This year sure has flown by!

I wanted to start out by showing a few pictures from when she was born…IMG_7133I think we were still in shock that we had a little girl!  We were both so certain that little boy #3 was to join our family!

Now, fast forward one year….

IMG_8441  Our family.  I’m laughing at this picture now.  Ty and I had been tanning to prepare for our Bahamas trip.  We look so unnaturally dark for both of us!

IMG_8420A high-chair fit for a princess!  I know it’s silly, but it was fun to finally have girly decorations after lots of boys’ parties!
