We spent the July 4th weekend with my parents and enjoyed a relaxing few days. While we were there, we went to see the Jackson Generals minor league baseball team play the Chattanooga Lookouts. It seemed fitting to see the All-American sport played during America’s Independence Day celebration. It was a HOT, HOT, HOT night - but so much fun!
We were happy to see the Generals win the game, and we stayed for the fireworks show afterward. Allie wasn’t too crazy about that part of the evening. She spent most of that time with her face buried in my shoulder. When she got brave enough to catch a glimpse of the show, she would watch for about 5 seconds, start screaming and bury her head again. Oh well – better luck next year!
