More from May

In addition to sweet pea’s birthday party, we had several things going on in May.

The day after her party, we celebrated Mother’s Day.  We went to Mass and then had brunch with both my mom and Bev, along with my sisters and stepdad.  I just wanted to get one nice picture of me with my little ones, but instead I got this:

and

IMG_9109

That’s just about right for us these days!

Both the boys stayed busy with baseball for about 3 months.  In May, we were right in the middle of all the action.

IMG_0600Kyle’s team was the Braves.  They had a great season and won the end-of-season tournament.  Not too bad for a bunch of mostly 7 year olds playing in a 7-8 age bracket.  We were so proud of him and his teammates!

Hayden played for the Giants this year.  This was his first year to play in kid pitch, which was quite a change of pace from the coach and machine pitch seasons of the past.  Once he got into the groove of it, he had an awesome season.  His team came in first in the regular season play.  Again, not too shabby for a team of mostly 9 year olds in a 9-10 league.  So proud of those boys, especially that cutie above!

IMG_9152

He even got to pitch in a few games!  He did great!  I, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck.  So, so proud of him.

And this little cutie patootie was there for almost every game to cheer her brothers on.  For all the hours she has logged at the baseball fields, football fields and basketball courts, the boys know they have many whine-free tea parties ahead of them!  They have also been informed that they WILL enjoy the princess meals whenever we return to Disney.  She has certainly earned them!

This little girl was also introduced to the wonderful world of My Little Ponies and Barbies thanks to some of the other baseball sisters this season!

And finally, the day we have all been waiting for finally arrived…the last day of school!  Here is what was waiting on our little men as they finished up their last day in 1st and 3rd grades:

Allie’s 2nd Birthday

Our sweet pea turned 2 back in May.  It’s hard to believe!  I had such fun planning her party, a carnival theme.  We had the backyard set up and ready for all the little people to play games.  Then the rain came.  We frantically set everything up in our cramped garage.  In the last minute rush to move it all, I failed to get many pictures of her sweet decorations.  Oh well, we still had a great time celebrating our favorite 2 year old!
Here are a few of our favorite memories.

April Revisited

Our April photo album mostly consisted of Easter.  We had a beautiful day to celebrate Christ’s resurrection.  After a few pictures before church, we went to a beautiful Mass.   We came home to find that the Easter bunny had hidden some eggs in our backyard!  After a quick egg hunt, we headed over to Bev’s house for yet another egg hunt and late lunch.  Here are a few of our highlights:

I had a couple of random shots of little girl at 23 months old.

IMG_0547                This is exactly how she goes to sleep each night and at naptime.  Bunny, blanket and fingers.  Pure sweetness!

IMG_8874 Lookin’ too cute in her pigtails.  Absolutely refusing to smile for me.

And that was our April in a nutshell.  Not a lot going on that month, but we make up for it next month in May.  Will have those pictures soon!

Take care,

Angela

March Revisited!

Oh my, has it really been that long since my last post?  Time flies when you’re having fun, right?  Oh well, I want to try to get caught back up, so over the next bit I will try to give a monthly recap of what the last few months have looked like for our family.

March was busy.   We were right smack-dab in the middle of birthday season!

First, we celebrated Hayden’s 9th birthday!  I can’t believe he is 9.  His last year in the single digits.

Let’s take a little trip down memory lane…

And here he is today!  Well, actually this is how he was back in March on his special day:IMG_8815

A few weeks after we finished up with our birthday celebrations, we headed to the Predators vs. Redwings game, which was a gift from Bev to both boys for their birthdays.    A great time was had by all!

Next, the boys had Spring Break.  We didn’t take a big vacation, but tried to do fun things around town.  We did, though, make a quick day trip down to Huntsville to the Space and Rocket Center.

Well, that was what our March looked like.  Hope to be back soon to re-visit April.
