April Revisited

Our April photo album mostly consisted of Easter.  We had a beautiful day to celebrate Christ’s resurrection.  After a few pictures before church, we went to a beautiful Mass.   We came home to find that the Easter bunny had hidden some eggs in our backyard!  After a quick egg hunt, we headed over to Bev’s house for yet another egg hunt and late lunch.  Here are a few of our highlights:

I had a couple of random shots of little girl at 23 months old.

                This is exactly how she goes to sleep each night and at naptime.  Bunny, blanket and fingers.  Pure sweetness!

Lookin’ too cute in her pigtails.  Absolutely refusing to smile for me.

And that was our April in a nutshell.  Not a lot going on that month, but we make up for it next month in May.  Will have those pictures soon!

March Revisited!

Oh my, has it really been that long since my last post?  Time flies when you’re having fun, right?  Oh well, I want to try to get caught back up, so over the next bit I will try to give a monthly recap of what the last few months have looked like for our family.

March was busy.   We were right smack-dab in the middle of birthday season! 

First, we celebrated Hayden’s 9th birthday!  I can’t believe he is 9.  His last year in the single digits.

And here he is today!  Well, actually this is how he was back in March on his special day:

A few weeks after we finished up with our birthday celebrations, we headed to the Predators vs. Redwings game, which was a gift from Bev to both boys for their birthdays.    A great time was had by all!

   We were so close to the action!

Next, the boys had Spring Break.  We didn’t take a big vacation, but tried to do fun things around town.  We did, though, make a quick day trip down to Huntsville to the Space and Rocket Center.

Kyle’s 7th Birthday!

Last Saturday, Feb. 4th, our little guy turned 7!  It’s hard to believe!  It truly seems like we just brought him home from the hospital.

Allie’s First Haircut

Someone got her hair cut recently!  Actually, she barely got it trimmed.  She was awesome and sat in the chair just like a big girl.  I wasn’t expecting that!  She normally is such a wiggle worm that I was fully anticipating having to hold her still in my lap.

This was just before we left the house.  Allie has really taken to Missy here lately.  She calls her “Sis” and loves to pet on her and let Missy lick her fingers – which she immediately puts into her mouth! 

Pre-haircut.  It’s just stringy and semi-curly.  Just like mine – poor kid!

First UT Game

Well, November has totally passed us by! 

In the first part of the month we took the boys to their (and mine!) first UT game.  They played our alma mater, MTSU.  I hated that I couldn’t cheer for UT, but we had to pull for our blue! The boys, of course, were all for Big Orange!
